What will one do when witnessing violence against women? What are the insights/thoughts of Juanas and Juans as to abuse and sexual harassment? The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) conducted a series of social experiments on Violence Against Women (VAW) in different settings in the City of Manila, Nueva Ecija, Bohol, and Cagayan de Oro City to study and document the reactions of citizens when presented with a scenario related to VAW. The staged situations include gender-based sexual harassment in public transportation and public space, violence in an intimate relationship, and trafficking in persons. The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) Plus was tapped for this production. PCW launched the results as a video followed by duty bearers’ responses during the kick-off ceremony.
