The National Advocacy and Communication Plan 2024-2028

In response to the findings of stakeholder consultations and as part of the new Strategic Action Plan for 2024-2028 of the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), the development of an advocacy and communications plan has been recognized as a crucial priority to strengthen our fight against the aforementioned crime. This National Advocacy and Communications Plan, or simply “communications plan”, is a strategic roadmap designed to address the multifaceted issue of human trafficking in the Philippines. It acknowledges that while significant efforts have been made to combat this issue, there is an ongoing need to enhance public awareness on human trafficking, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and mobilize resources effectively. By addressing these issues, we can shine a light on human trafficking, empower vulnerable sectors, unify our key messaging, and ensure the effective use of our respective reporting channels. Through this plan, we will work towards a Philippines where the darkness of human trafficking is replaced by a brighter, safer, and more hopeful future for all. This communications plan will serve as the council’s compass, that will guide IACAT and its member agencies toward a society free from the scourge of human trafficking.
