The focus of this special issue is to explore the evolution of international feminism from 1920 to 1975, challenging the Eurocentric narrative that has dominated historical accounts. Acknowledging the contributions and activism of women from Asia and Africa, the issue emphasizes transnational feminism as a critical framework that repositions historical actors previously overlooked. It highlights the dynamic interplay of feminist discourses and underscores the significance of individual women’s roles in shaping feminist movements in the global context.
