Research Report on the Mapping of Women Legislations, Programs, Projects and Activities Selected Provinces, Cities, Municipalities, National Government Agencies and Civil Society Organization in Aid of Legislation Program Implementation in the Caraga Region

This research looked into local women’s legislation of selected provinces, cities, and municipalities in the Caraga region. Comprising the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del sur, and Dinagat Islands to determine if there are enough laws that will help improve women’s lives. It looked into the programs and services of selected local government units, national government agencies, and civil society organizations that addresses the issues of equality of equality and empowerment of women. The research shows that several ordinances and legislations have been enacted by LGUs, especially Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, and Bislig City. Its enactment defines the priorities based on local conditions and needs, upon which GAD programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) are designed and funded by the 5% GAD funds of national government agencies and local government units.
