This tool recognizes the need of the local development planners to build and strengthen their capability for effective gender-responsive local development planning and programming. It aimed not only to contribute to the development and strengthening of gender-responsive databases at the local level but also to provide a guide for producing gender statistics necessary in formulating, implementing, and monitoring a gender-responsive plan.
