
This brief looks at how policymakers can reduce digital disparities and harness the adoption of digital technologies to promote inclusive growth, trade, and innovation. Key policy considerations include expanding digital infrastructure for reliable and affordable connectivity, advancing digital skills, and providing a level playing field for firms’ participation in the digital economy. In relation to regulation, it is important to ease constraints while preserving digital security and to harmonize regional digital regulations to improve interoperability and trade flows.
