Alam Mo VAW Street Interviews

As part of the nationwide observance of the 2023 18-Day Campaign to End VAW and its award-winning #VAWfreePH advocacy, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) produced the “Alam Mo VAW?” Street Interviews. “Alam Mo VAW” is a video presentation showcasing interviews initiated by PCW, where people on the street are asked about their awareness and understanding of VAW-related laws, particularly RA 9262, RA 8353 as amended by RA 11648, RA 11313, RA 7877, and RA 9208 as amended by RA 11862.

PCW conducted on-the-spot interviews with willing respondents from various public places in the City of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, including train stations, parks, markets, university areas, and barangays surrounding the MalacaƱang Palace. A total of 50 individuals were interviewed, including members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and others (LGBTQIA+) community.
