From being a career officer and a former Executive Director of the then National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women, the predecessor of the Philippine Commission on Women, up until she was assigned to handle international assignments in UN Women, Ms. Ermelita Valdeavilla consistently advocated for impactful change for the empowerment of women with intersectional disadvantages.
